WHEATSHEAF HEATHERSIDE FC KROONERS WEEKLY REPORT |
|
The Krooners were playing a double header against Forest Park this week and with 4 x 30 minutes sessions split over 2 games, it was fortunate there was a strong turn out of players. In the first game the Krooners squandered several excellent scoring chances and looked to be by far the better team however they fell to a sucker late goal taken on the break from which they were never able to bounce back which resulted in an unlikely loss for the Krooners. With many changes for the second game to not only bring on some fresh legs but also to ensure everyone got a decent game, the team did well to hold the game to 0-0 at half time with Forest Park looking the better of the 2 sides. In the second half as we started to push for a goal, there were some squad changes in order to provide a far more attacking line up but despite the Krooners looking the stronger side throughout the second half, they were never able to find that elusive goal that would have earned them the full 3 points therefore they had to settle for a single point for a 0-0 draw. The Krooners defence looked much more solid this week and with both mid-field and the availability of some menacing strike possibilities looking much more settled, they are looking to become much more a team to be reckoned with and Forest Park can count themselves lucky as it looks like the season could finish much stronger for the Krooners. Next week the Krooners will be back up to full strength with the return of some of the Army lads so we hope to see a better result from a tough double header against Forest Park : MOTM - still being voted on however with strong performances all over the park, the award this week could have gone to just about anyone! |
